Converting the tapping section of Eruption (The Mighty EVH) to R.O.
This is why we love Eddie --- It's North American Blues Rock + Western European Tonality all wrapped in the hands of the mighty Edward Van Halen (plus that shuffle between the trio that separates the VH trio from the rest of the hard rock universe!)
This works better with tremolo than with a preluding pattern -- the flutter of the tremolo closer mimics the flutter of the 2-handed tapping than p-i-m-a patterns :)
Key Centers as we might have learned it from the record or tab:
|| c#m → A → B7 → E → C → D → E |
|: E7 → Edim → Am → E :|
| D7 → Ddim → Gm → D |
| C7 → Cdim → Fm → C |
|: B7 → Em : | Em ||
Key Centers (RO, subs, numbers, additions; the C#dim instead of Edim is for voice leading help):
|| c#m → A → B7 → E → C → D → E |
|: E7 → C#dim → Cdim → E :|
| D7 → Bdim → Bbdim → D |
| C7 → Adim → Abdim → C |
|: B7 → Em : | Em ||
Here are the numbers, but gotta simplify this..... geez:
|| 6(53) → 4(53) → 5 → 1 → b6(53) → b7(53) → 1 |
|: 1dom → 6dim → b6dim → 1 :|
| b7dom → 6dim/b7 → bBbdim/b7 → b7 |
| b6 → 6dim/b6 → b6dim/b6 → b6 |
|: 5 → 1m : | 1m ||
