Nursery Rhymes as rhythmic motives!

It's amazing how the concise & clear rhythmic motives of these tunes simplify things when you are improvising and/or composing. 

They also help with pacing (in terms of thinking about breathing and phrasing), since we're mimicking the words of the vocal phrase (also I've found breaking up the longer phrases and repeating 1-2 measures works better for Partimento improvisation)

Below are bits and pieces from different tunes, some in 3/4, some 4/4 (and adding more examples as I go.)

Also, I couldn't get the traditional dashes between syllables to work correctly, so left them out for now.
