Bill & Ted had an "excellent" futuristic phone booth for intra-dimensional travel (I'm so glad they made this movie before cell phones were a thing.)
We don't have an ultra-cool phone booth, but we do have the magical Tri-Tone -- our very own kind of intra-key travel :)
A modulation in music usually refers to moving to a different key center in some way (although, if it's just for a brief moment -- it may be referred to as a temporary tonicization of a scale degree, according to super-duper smart theory folks' textbooks.)
For now, we're just exploring moving from 7 to 1.
The 7th scale degree in Major has a Tri-Tone as it's second voice
The 7th scale degree in Minor is raised a half-step (going up), and also has a Tri-Tone as it's second voice
These can be used to move between C Major and A Minor pretty easily. You just have to make you're aware of which scale degree you are currently on, and find your way to the 7th of the other key (for now -- we're just moving between the Major and its relative Minor)
