Partimento-ish seventeen
After working through the RO guitar adaptations (in 12 Major keys and their relative Minor keys), it's time to dig into Partimento.
I'm following John's online course -- so first up is Furno #1, by Giovanni Furno.
(It is strange that searching the internet for a portrait painting of Mr. Furno turns up nothin'.... hmmmm...)
This example by Tobias Cramm on the Nikhil Hogan Show is really helpful.
Initially just playing roots to feel the loop (form), then adding dyads, and finally 3-note SMALL & BIG chords
I'm mostly revolving around dyads, and then either reducing to a root note/scale segment, or expanding to a 3-note chord
Switching between straight 8ths and swing, the 6/8 preluding figure from Eight, and the rhythmic motives from Fifteen
